Our commitment to the environment is reflected in our thematic approach to creating, monitoring and reporting our social value commitments.

• All of our directly employed members of staff live inside the Bristol area (90% of our employees live inside the BS1-BS16 postcodes).
• All of our vehicles are fitted with trackers and cameras, enabling our customer service team to allocate jobs to the nearest engineer, saving fuel and offering faster response times.
• Our sub-contractors and preferred suppliers are local to Bristol and North Somerset.
• We use dual cab vehicles and vehicle pooling to save on multiple vehicles attending a site.
• Ashcroft Services has achieved ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 accreditations.

Combining journeys and making shorter journeys plays an important part in reducing our carbon footprint, a contribution helping the Council towards the Carbon Neutrality 2050 target. These activities also reduce our costs and savings can be passed on to the “Housing Services” and other Council departments through Ashcroft Services innovations within our tenders.
